Hello,

Recently, i bought this uniform. I thought it was a flight nurse uniform, but now I'm not sure anymore.

F.e. the pockets are not the same as those of the flying nurses uniforms. Is it possible that this is a ARC uniform?

I already took a look on this page by the WASP and I saw a uniform that looks a bit like mine, but still I'm not sure if it is a real flight nurse uniform.

There is a white blouse, a black tie and black ankle boot with it.

Thanks for helping me

Posting pictures or graphics within a text message:

To do this, the picture or graphic must first be on a website open to public view at all times without requiring membership, signing in, etc.
The picture has to be copyright free! Else, give it a credit, name the web site or just link to it.
The picture should not be larger than 640 pixels in width to avoid scrolling the forum sideways when reading a thread. This can be very annoying.

If the picture is on your computer, you have to upload it to the internet first. This can be done by a picture host like:
www.photobucket.com
www.imageshack.us
http://jeep.cfasp.de/upload/ (German)
Or seach the web for “free picture hosting”

Some photo hosts provide a series of URL's for either a thumbnail, click to enlarge thumbnail or the enlargement itself. If the one you use has this (like imageshack.us), look for the one that starts with . Either upper/lower case will work. Copy and paste this string into your post.

One thing that forces extra width on posting pictures is not posting them on a line by themselves - always hit your enter key before adding pictures so they end up on the next line by themselves.

Okay, and here are the steps to show a picture from an internet source:

1. At the source, enlarge the picture if it is a thumbnail

2. Right click on it and select "Properties"

3. Triple click on the URL (location) in the properties window (the URL must be highlighted), right click again and select "Copy"

4. Note the pixel size shown in the properties, i.e., 600x300. If the picture is larger than 640 pixels in width, please forbear from showing it in your post – use the URL and link to it. Any larger width will force side scrolling for 800x600 resolution viewers and your post may be edited or deleted on that basis.

5. In a "New Topic" or a "Reply", click the “Img” button twice. You will notice in your post at the cursor position [img][/img]. Paste the complete URL between .

6. Click on "Preview" below the editor box to confirm it is as you want it to display.

Hope this helps!

Katy

Hi Jana,

I have had a look at your uniform and it is neither a ANC Flight nurse pattern nor WASP. It is closest in design with the ARC Clubmobile uniform. However, a couple of things puzzle me.

The black tie doesn't fit with the ARC as the latter wore the cut-out Red Cross as insignia on their collar. Furthermore, the banana shaped cap would not be correct for ARC.

The jacket is closed like a men's jacket. This is rather unusual if it comes with women's pants. The cap also has no piping.

My guess is that this is either some kind of civilian uniform or maybe postwar (Airforce Korean War)?

Greetings,
Katy

Katy,

Thank you very much for analyzing my uniform.
I'll speak with the man who sells me the uniform.
