Exercise Suit
.
As an exercise suit for recreation and physical
conditioning, women Marines wore a tan seersucker, one-piece bloomer outfit.
It was known as "peanut suit" because of its color and crinkled appearance.
A front-buttoned A-lined skirt was added whenever the women were not actively
engaged in sports, exercise or work details. The exercise suit was worn
with bronze collar insignia.
